Maegan Adams

Executive Director of Operations

My name is Maegan Adams, early childhood education has been my passion for as long as I can remember, I’ve been in the field for over 20 years and continue to expand my knowledge as much as I can. Throughout my career, I have worked in numerous positions that have taught me valuable lessons and have all been dedicated to the education and well-being of children aged from birth to eight. I’ve been a student, held various teaching positions, an early learning mentor and coach, an education and literacy coordinator, an assistant director, a program administrator, and a school readiness grant manager. My current role is an executive director of operations, and I continue to be an early learning coach and trainer for social-emotional learning, specifically the pyramid model. In each role I was faced with new and exciting challenges, I took the challenges and turned them into positive learning opportunities, all of which have helped define who I am as an educator and leader.

To give you some of my educational background, I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut in Human Development and Family Studies with a focus on Early Care and Education in 2008, I then received my master’s degree in 2010 from the University of Bridgeport in Elementary Education which includes a Teaching Certification for Kindergarten to Grade 6. Other academic achievements consist of being a preschool to grade three leadership fellow which I obtained from the University of Connecticut’s Neag School of Education.

My philosophy is that early childhood education is the fundamental building block for learning and if nurtured appropriately, creates the foundation for success for years to come. It is important to recognize the various needs and strengths of educators, families, and children to help them all reach their full potential. I strive to support all individuals that I engage with to assist them in obtaining a high level of success and to foster their individual development.
